April Fools' Day: States Most Anticipating the Pranks

Be on your toes. Michigan! Love it or hate it, a week from today is April Fools’ Day, the time each year the inner prankster emerges in people.

So, we wanted to find out which states have the most jokers. BetMichigan.com took a little time away from Michigan sports betting – just a little, we said – and used Google Trends to see which states most highly anticipate April Fools’ Day pranks. Here are the top states that love to bust chops:

April Fools’ Prank Paradise: Iowa, Really?

Based on our research, Idaho is full of practical jokers with a search interest score of 100, compared to other topics. Michigan (41) also managed to sneak in the top 10, tying with Tennessee (41) for ninth on the list.

Other states include a top five of Iowa (77), Colorado (74), Kansas (64) and West Virginia (60). Minnesota at No. 6 (59), No. 7 Alabama (50) and No. 8 Connecticut (42) complete the top 10.

In January, Ranker.com listed the top 25 comedians from the Wolverine StateDavid Spade (Birmingham) was at the top of the list, followed by Keegan-Michael Key (Southfield), Mary Lynn Rajskub (Detroit), Sam Richardson (Detroit) and Dax Shepard (Highland Township) to complete the top five. 
 
The other 20 comics are funny but not that hilarious.
