BetMichigan.com – your source for the best Michigan casino bonuses – averaged the airfares out of each city, using numbers from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics website. Then we averaged the cities in each state to come up with the cheapest (and most expensive) states to fly out of.

We ranked the states based on total average airfare at every airport in each state for the year 2022 and the first quarter of 2023.

Nationally, the cheapest airport to fly out of was San Bernardino, California, at an average fare of $92.17 for the first three months of 2023, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics website. The priciest average belonged to Cold Bay, Alaska, at $1,853.
