When it came to individual Michigan online casino apps operators statewide, MGM Grand Detroit was the top dog overall, with $48,033,815 in adjusted gross receipts (AGR) during the ninth calendar month of the year.
Overall, MGM Grand Detroit’s AGR beat out fellow city operator MotorCity Casino ($43,949,505) and Bay Mills Indian Community ($34,404,614) in September. Rounding out the top five was the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians at nearly $11.68 million and the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, just over $11 million.
Michigan Retail Casinos Slump in September
The news wasn’t quite as rosy for Michigan’s retail casino operators in September, with $101,229,067 in total adjusted gross receipts, down 8.6% from August’s total of $110,793,319.
Michigan retail casinos also saw month-over-month declines in state and city wagering taxes in September, with the former dropping 8.6% from August ($8,974,259) to September ($8,199,554), while the latter fell 27.5% from August ($17,267,565) to September ($12,523,046).
