Tigers Need to Clean Up Defense
Since 2021, the Detroit Tigers placed 24th on the 30-team list with average of 0.570 errors per game. Last season, the Tigers (78-84, .481) finished in second place in the American League Central Division, nine games behind champion Minnesota Twins.
That was a 12-game improvement from the 2022 season (66-96), due in large part to a 41-40 road record. The 78 victories were the most for the franchise since posting an 86-75 record in 2016.
The first spring training games for the Tigers is Feb. 24 in Lakeland, Fla., vs. the New York Yankees. Here are Detroit’s latest future odds from ESPN Bet Michigan as of Dec. 22:
The Tigers are tied with fellow AL Central Division resident Cleveland and the Los Angeles Angels at +3000 to win the American League pennant. To win the World Series, the odds are doubled, with Detroit and Cleveland also tied at +6000. Any bets you are considering should come with Michigan sportsbook promos in hand.
